Ahead of the primaries of the All Progressives Congress, aspirants on the platform of the party, including President Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, formally submitted their nomination and expression of interest forms to the national secretariat of the party. The APC began the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms on April 28, with the exercise scheduled to close by midnight on May 6. No fewer than 45 residents of Ogun State have been arrested and sentenced to community service for indiscriminate waste disposal in parts of Abeokuta, the state capital. PUNCH Metro gathered that the offenders were apprehended on Thursday by officials of the Ogun State Waste Management Authority in the Panseke, Quarry Road and Kolobo areas for allegedly dumping refuse on roadsides, highways and other public places.
