The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Kannywood actress Samha Inuwa over alleged abuse of the Nigerian currency. In a statement issued on Tuesday, EFCC’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, said operatives of the commission’s Kano Zonal Directorate apprehended the actress after a video circulated on social media showing her allegedly using naira notes to wipe her nose. The Ebonyi State House of Assembly has passed into law an executive bill seeking the disbandment and delisting of Amasiri Development Centre as one of the 64 development centers in the state, following a recent attack on Okporojo village in Oso-Edda Community, Edda LGA, by Amasiri warlords. Amasiri community falls under Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The incident has also led to the removal of all government political appointees from the area. Crypto exchange Kraken’s parent company, Payward, reported 33% revenue growth in 2025 as transaction volumes rose and the business capitalized on its acquisitions.
