Mobile network operators are spending more to defend the infrastructure that underpins the world’s digital economy. According to a new study by the GSMA, the industry’s main trade body, operators now devote between $15bn and $19bn a year to core cybersecurity activities, a sum expected to swell to as much as $42bn by 2030 as cyber threats multiply and regulatory demands grow more complex. Gunmen have abducted 28 travellers in Zak community, Bashar District of Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State. A youth leader in Wase, Sapi’i Sambo, confirmed the incident to PREMIUM TIMES in a telephone interview on Monday, saying the victims included men, women and children.
