Jigawa State House of Assembly has passed into law the State 2026 Appropriation Bill of N901.8 billion and Local Government Budgets of N288 billion respectively. The passage follows the approval of the report of the House Committee on Appropriation, presented by the Committee Chairman, Hamza Ibrahim Adamu. The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State has agreed to use consensus to choose party officials at ward, local government, state and national levels ahead of its congresses. The decision was taken at an expanded State Executive Council meeting held on Tuesday at the Government House in Lafia. The Nigeria National League, NNL, imposed a fine of N2.5m on Gombe United following fans encroachment, harassment and intimidation of match officials. The league body said Gombe United breached multiple regulations, including failing to provide adequate security and control of their supporters. Two police officers were killed in an overnight explosion in Moscow when they tried to stop a suspicious person, Russia’s Investigative Committee said in a statement Wednesday. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has confirmed that a loaded Mack 40ft containerised truck fell on Ojuelegba Bridge inward National Stadium, Surulere. The Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA, Mr Taofiq Adebayo, confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday. A minor fire broke out late Tuesday night at the Terminus Market in Jos, Plateau State, the Jos Main Market Authority has confirmed.
