Troops of the Nigerian Army under Operation Hadin Kai have rescued a serving councillor from Biu Local Government Area and an Islamic cleric who were abducted by suspected terrorists in Borno State. Experts on Thursday called for increased funding, stronger public awareness, and more coordinated action to curb antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Nigeria. They made the appeal in Abuja during a multi-stakeholder engagement focused on resource allocation for AMR surveillance and containment.
