A devastating fire broke out at a plastic manufacturing company located along Umuoji Road, Nkpor, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, destroying part of the structure as well as goods and property worth several millions of naira. Doctors in Akwa Ibom State have given the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) a two-week deadline to meet conditions set by the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) or face a resumption of a statewide industrial action. The Nigerian Navy has dismantled an illegally reconstructed refining cluster, along the Rivers–Bayelsa border, recovering about 8,500 litres of suspected petroleum products. The Director of Naval Information, Navy Capt. Abiodun Folorunsho, made this known in a statement on Sunday in Abuja. The All Progressives Congress has announced the winners and the losers of its just-concluded national assembly primaries in Ondo State.  This was disclosed in a viral result document signed by Iboroma Dabibi, chairman of the Ondo APC 2026 National Assembly primaries election committee.  According to the document, five incumbent lawmakers from the state failed to secure an APC return ticket.  The results showed that only three incumbent lawmakers, including Ifeolowa Ehindero, Abiola Makinde, and Adeferati Gboyega, secured their return ticket in APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
