The Enugu State Police Command has announced the arrest of two suspected members of an interstate kidnapping and armed robbery syndicate allegedly terrorising border communities between Enugu and Benue states. The Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, has signed into law a bill which the government says seeks to monitor and control foreign aid to opposition groups in the country but which the opposition says gives the government more powers to clamp down on the civic space.
