The Nationwide League One, NLO, has announced players registration guidelines ahead of the upcoming season. The league body has urged clubs to remit a registration fee of ₦600,000 (six hundred thousand Naira) to its account in other to gain access to the NLO’s database. The modalities is for clubs in the NLO Division One and the U-19 Youth League. For the youth league clubs, submission of players’ primary school certificates is required. The National Pension Commission has recovered over N4.04bn in unremitted pension contributions between January and November 2025, representing an increase of more than 180 per cent compared with the N1.44bn recovered in the entire 2024 financial year. The Director-General of PenCom, Ms Omolola Oloworaran, disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja while presenting her one-year scorecard at the Pension Revolution Summit and 2025 Media Conference. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has said it will prosecute five herbalists arrested at shrines in Lagos and Osun states over the alleged possession of fake $3.4 million and €280,000. The EFCC disclosed in a statement posted on its Facebook page on Wednesday that the arrests followed a report that the suspects allegedly swindled one Halima Sanni of N26m. Authorities have filed a criminal charge against an unruly woman who was caught on camera attacking staff at a San Francisco restaurant in video footage that has since gone viral, Us Weekly has learned. A civil society group, Rights for All International (RAI), has sued President Bola Tinubu to force him to suspend Farouk Ahmed, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), over allegations of corruption and living beyond his legitimate means.
