The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, screening committee on Tuesday cleared former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan by waiver ahead of the party’s presidential primary. Former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu who is a member of the Tanimu Turaki-led PDP NWC Presidential and Gubernatorial Screening Committee, disclosed this in Abuja after the screening exercise. Peaceful protesters in Enhwe Community, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, have said they are not in support of the blockade of Urri Road and the alleged illegal collection of levy from a businessman, Victor Wayles Egukhawhore, purportedly by the son of the traditional ruler of Enhwe Kingdom. African policymakers, technology experts and civil society leaders have launched a continent-wide initiative aimed at strengthening ethical oversight of artificial intelligence as governments and businesses accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies across critical sectors of the economy.
