The 11 Nigerian military officials on board the C-130 aircraft that made an emergency landing in Burkina Faso have been released. The soldiers were held last week by Burkinabe authorities over what they described as violations of their airspace. Their release Wednesday night comes about nine days after their arrest. Microsoft said on Tuesday that its longstanding partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria had delivered digital training to over four million people since 2021. The Director for Government Affairs at Microsoft for West Africa, Nonye Ujam, disclosed this at a media roundtable in Lagos. The management of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, ATBUTH, Bauchi, has apprehended an elderly man allegedly involved in defrauding patients and their relatives within the hospital premises. The hospital management disclosed that the suspect, who is not an employee of ATBUTH, was detected by its SERVICOM Unit during routine surveillance activities. The impostor was said to have been extorting unsuspecting patients and their relatives under false pretences. Nigerian midfielder, Prosper Obah has sealed a move to Ukrainian giants, Shakhtar Donestk, DAILY POST reports. Obah was signed from another Ukrainian outfit, LNZ Cherkasy. Debt service and personnel costs have swallowed more than the Federal Government’s total revenue for the first seven months of 2025, even as receipts fell sharply below target and capital projects suffered deep cuts. An analysis of the 2026–2028 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper, released on Wednesday on the website of the Budget Office of the Federation, showed that between January and July, the Federal Government earned N13.67tn as aggregate revenue, compared with a pro rata target of N23.85tn.
