Oakleaf has reinforced its commitment to promoting healthy living by partnering the Lagos State Public Service Club during its annual games, where members competed in a variety of indoor and outdoor sporting events.
The competition was held across the club’s facilities in Lagos, including its annexes in Ikorodu, Epe and Badagry, with participants vying for honours and bragging rights in events such as table tennis, lawn tennis, squash, scrabble, table soccer, ludo and draught.
Beyond supporting the competition, Oakleaf provided healthcare services and wellness products to participants, underscoring the importance of preventive healthcare and active living.
Speaking on the partnership, Oakleaf’s Head of Marketing, Oluseyi Adelaja, said the company’s support for sporting activities aligns with its mission of improving people’s quality of life through healthy lifestyles.
“We usually partner with different clubs especially when it comes to sports and people being active because it fits into our objective of improving quality of life,” Adelaja said.
He urged participants to embrace healthier lifestyles through balanced nutrition, regular exercise and preventive healthcare.
“It starts with things you can control. The first is your diet which cuts across how you even prepare your meals and when you eat. Ensure you incorporate vegetables and fruits.
“Another thing is exercise. We tend to sit behind the desk for most part so we have to incorporate some form of exercise in our routine.
“We also preach the incorporation of supplements that help to boost immunity and manage stress,” he added.
The club’s Sports Secretary, Adewale Adebayo, commended Oakleaf for adding value to the event through its healthcare support.
“Oakleaf has added glamour to the event with their presence and resources. Our members had access to adequate healthcare through their products while playing and that is a perfect blend,” Adebayo said.
He also noted that membership of the Lagos State Public Service Club is open to members of the public and not restricted to civil servants alone.
