Brazilian football legend Kaka has made several predictions regarding the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
The 2002 FIFA World Cup champion and Brazilian icon Kaka has shared his predictions for the best player, best coach, and the eventual winners of the 2026 tournament. He also discussed his most challenging opponents in World Cup history and speculated on the performance of the United States Men’s National Team, USMNT, in the competition.
In an interview with The Athletic, he expressed his belief that Barcelona’s young talent and first-time participant Lamine Yamal will emerge as the tournament’s best player.
The Spanish prodigy has already made a significant impact on the global football scene, and Kaka is confident that he will maintain his impressive form.
The former Brazilian international also endorsed Carlo Ancelotti, the current head coach of the Brazil national team, as the best coach of the tournament.
Although this will be Ancelotti’s first international tournament, he possesses extensive experience in managing and achieving success in cup competitions.
Kaka further predicted that his national team would secure victory in the 2026 FIFA World Cup this summer, anticipating that the Brazilian squad, known as the Selecao, will claim their sixth title.
He also made an unexpected prediction regarding the USMNT, asserting that the co-hosts of the tournament will advance to the semi-finals.
He stated via HITC, “For me, the US Men’s National Team will reach the semi-finals.”
Additionally, he identified the 2006 France national team as his most formidable opponent on the world stage.
Brazil is placed in Group C, where they will face Morocco on June 13, followed by a match against Haiti on June 20. Their final group stage encounter will be against Scotland on June 24.
