Former Arsenal star, Emmanuel Eboue, has advised manager, Mikel Arteta to leave right-back Jurrien Timber on the bench against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.
Timber’s last appearance for Arsenal came back in March during the victory against Everton.
The Dutchman is recovering from a groin injury, and there remains a chance he could feature in the Champions League final on Saturday.
“Timber will want to play,” Eboue told Metro. “As a player, your dream is to play the Champions League final.
“But he hasn’t played for a long time. He has to wait a little bit.
“The PSG team, they’re so strong and so fast, so I think it’s better for Arteta to leave him on the bench.”
