Barely six months after moving from Viktoria Plzen to Pisa, Super Eagles target Rafiu Durosinmi could be on the move again during the summer transfer window, with Turkish giants Trabzonspor and Serie A side Torino both monitoring his situation closely, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The 23-year-old forward is facing a decisive period in his career after enduring a mixed first six months in Italy following his January transfer to Pisa.
Reports from Italy suggest Trabzonspor have intensified their interest in the Nigerian striker after tracking his performances in recent weeks. Torino are also studying the situation carefully as they prepare for possible changes to their attacking department ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
After only a few months at the club, Pisa are willing to listen to offers between €8m and €10m for the striker this summer, according to an Italian outlet.
Durosinmi joined Pisa during the January transfer window in a club-record deal worth €9m, with another €2m included in performance-related bonuses.
The Nigerian announced himself dramatically on his Serie A debut when he scored an 87th-minute equaliser against Atalanta.
Since then, he has added only one assist in 12 games as the club were relegated to Serie B. Despite the difficult adaptation period, several clubs remain convinced about his long-term potential because of his physical strength, aerial ability and movement inside the penalty area.
Before joining Pisa, he scored 11 goals in 26 games for Plzen.
Trabzonspor see the former Box2Box FC academy striker as a possible long-term attacking option as they prepare for another campaign in the Turkish Süper Lig. Torino, meanwhile, are assessing new forwards because of uncertainty surrounding Colombian striker Duván Zapata.
While his club future remains uncertain, Durosinmi is also moving closer to a breakthrough with the Nigerian senior national team.
Durosinmi was earlier included in Nigeria’s provisional squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, although he eventually missed out on the final tournament list. However, his performances across the last two seasons have kept him firmly on the radar of the national team coaching staff.
Nigeria are expected to use the Unity Cup in London as an opportunity to assess new attacking options, especially with competition increasing in the Super Eagles forward line.
Despite his difficult spell in Serie A, Durosinmi still managed 14 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions this term.
Apart from Trabzonspor and Torino, clubs in England and Germany are also believed to be monitoring developments surrounding the striker. Premier League side West Ham United and Bundesliga outfit SC Freiburg have reportedly maintained interest, especially regarding possible loan arrangements that could help rebuild his confidence and market value.
Still, Durosinmi remains under contract with Pisa, but the coming weeks could define the next stage of his career.
