Nigerian businessman, Isaac Fayose, has expressed anger over the allegations linking the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the alleged diversion of N800 billion from the Federation Account Allocation Committee, FAAC.
DAILY POST reports the African Democratic Congress, ADC, recently accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC governors of allegedly diverting over N800 billion from FAAC
The opposition party accused the APC government of diverting the alleged funds for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
According to reports, the alleged diversion of funds triggered the recent split among members of the Progressive Governors Forum.
Reacting, Isaac Fayose, a socio-political activist, said such financial misappropriation is the reason most states are underdeveloped.
In a video clip on his official Facebook page, Fayose urged Nigerians to wake up and vote out the APC government in 2027.
He said, “You see them sharing rice and envelopes during campaigns. They are using your own money to bribe you. They said 32 APC governors contributed N800 billion for Tinubu’s re-election. This is sad. What is remaining now is for them to sell Nigeria and share the proceeds amongst their own family.
“If you allow this APC government to come in again, things will be worse. This is why your state is underdeveloped.
Nigerians, it is time to wake up”.
