Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim has reacted to what he described as attempts to disrupt free and fair direct primaries involving him.
In a statement signed by Professor Suleiman Mohammed for the Pantami Movement, Pantami raised concerns over possible political pressure and sponsored actions ahead of the exercise.
He said, “We anticipate sponsored petitions and press conferences from those who fear free, fair, and credible direct primaries involving Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami.”
He also claimed that some individuals who allegedly offered money to support certain activities declined the offer and exposed the plan.
According to him, “Some of those who were hired and offered financial inducement rejected the money and disclosed the agenda.”
Pantami further referred to a recent media appearance, saying: “TVC interview of yesterday answered the relevant questions.”
He urged his supporters to remain peaceful and composed regardless of developments.
“Our supporters should always remain calm, peaceful and prayerful in all situations,” he said.
