At least 12 people were killed on Sunday after bandits launched coordinated attacks on communities in Mazoji Ward of Katsina State.
Security analyst Bakatsine disclosed this in a post on X, saying the attacks occurred in Matazu Local Government Area.
According to the post, “Two people were killed in Dugul; one person was killed in Hayin Nomau.”
Bakatsine also stated that “nine people were killed in Salihawar Maruji/Salihawa Saminu”.
He added that “the attacks have left families devastated and communities in fear, once again exposing the deepening insecurity across rural communities in the state”.
Neither the state government nor the police has issued a statement on the latest attacks.
