The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has announced that the Matchday 37 and 38 fixtures will be played simultaneously.
The NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi, disclosed this in a memo sent to all the clubs on Thursday.
Owumi said that the move is to ensure sporting fairness and protect the integrity of the league.
“It has also become imperative to remind all clubs that the remaining games of Matchday 37 and 38 have been scheduled to be played simultaneously on the same date, with a kick-off time of 4 p.m.,” Owumi stated.
“This decision is to ensure sporting fairness and to protect the integrity of our matches and results.”
Owumi urged the clubs not to seek a change of date or time should they have challenges with the availability of their accredited home grounds.
“Should any club have issues with the unavailability of its regular venue, such a club must choose and communicate an alternative NPFL-accredited venue before the close of business on May 7, 2026.
“Should any club fail to do so, the NPFL will choose a venue for the fixture.”
