Newcastle United icon, Alan Shearer, has declared that Arsenal are capable of claiming both the Premier League and Champions League trophies this term.
The Englishman stated this on The Rest Is Football podcast ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League semi-final second leg with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.
He insisted that Mikel Arteta’s side can win all their last remaining matches (5 games) in both the Premier League and the Champions League this season.
“Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal players now are five games away from being legends of that football club forever,” Shearer said.
“They can win the Champions League and win the Premier League. Win three in the Premier League, and they are done and win two in the Champions League.”
