The All Progressives Congress, APC, has unveiled the members of its National Campaign Council for the forthcoming 2026 Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Area Council elections.
The election is scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 21, 2026, across the six area councils of the FCT, Abaji, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje and Kwali.
In a statement released on Sunday, the ruling party disclosed that members of the National Campaign Council would be formally inaugurated ahead of the commencement of campaigns.
According to the list, the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, will serve as Chairman of the Council.
He will be supported by Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as Co-Chairman I; Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, as Co-Chairman II; and Niger State Governor, Umar Bago, as Co-Chairman III.
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, was named Secretary of the Council, while Sanasi Evelyn will serve as Assistant Secretary.
Other members of the APC National Campaign Council for the FCT elections include Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno; Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo; Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu; Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia; Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah; and Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru.
Also listed are Governors Inuwa Yahaya, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Abdullahi Sule, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Umar Radda, Usman Ododo, Nasir Idris, Uba Sani, Umar Namadi and Dapo Abiodun, among others.
The APC further announced that the inauguration of the National Campaign Council will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, at the National Working Committee Hall of the party’s National Secretariat, located at 40 Blantyre Street, Abuja.
