The Kwankwasiyya Movement has strongly dismissed reports suggesting that the leader of the group and NNPP 2023 presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, had been flown out of the country for health reasons.
“Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso departs Nigeria for a personal reason and not on any related health reasons as been reported,” the movement stated.
Denying the reports, the Kwankwasiyya Movement spokesperson, Capt. Mansur Kurugu, insisted that the travels of his principal have nothing to do with health.
According to him, Kwankwaso’s journey abroad is not for medical tourism or any health-related purpose.
Some prominent politicians in Kano have taken to their social media handles, speculating that Kwankwaso had been flown out for medical reasons.
Another Kwankwaso supporter, who asked not to be named, was quoted as saying that the reports of Kwankwaso leaving Nigeria for health reasons were the handiwork of his enemies.
“Our enemies are at it again, but they would fail. Kwankwaso just visited Singer Market to sympathise with the fire-affected traders and he was received by a mammoth crowd, so what are they saying?” he lamented.
