Police operatives have rescued a 14-year-old student who was abducted in Nasarawa State and arrested one suspect linked to the incident.
This was disclosed in a post shared on X on Tuesday by security analyst, Zagazola Makama.
According to the post, the student identified as Dauda Salisu, was abducted in Gitata community.
He is a JSS2 student of Ube Gitata. The abduction reportedly took place on February 2, 2026, near a mosque in the area.
Makama stated that security operatives acted swiftly after receiving information about the incident and tracked the suspect to the riverside in Gitata, where he was arrested.
The suspect was identified as Jamilu Salisu, a male said to be from Dutsinma in Katsina State.
“The abducted student was rescued unharmed during the operation,” Makama wrote.
Meanwhile, the second suspect, identified simply as Zailani SNU, is said to have escaped and is currently on the run.
Security sources said investigations are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect and prevent similar incidents in the community.
