The factional National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Abdulrahman Mohammed, has said the party will continue to rely on legal processes to resolve its internal affairs following a court victory in Ibadan.
Mohammed stated that the declaratory judgment of the Ibadan High Court was clear and unambiguous.
He spoke during a factional BoT meeting held in Abuja on Monday.
Mohammed stressed that the leadership would remain committed to pursuing justice in the interest of the party.
He disclosed that the party would soon release a timetable for activities related to outstanding congresses in some states, noting that the process is expected to pave the way for a smooth National Convention.
According to him, the PDP remains a people-oriented party with established structures, national cohesion, and a record of verifiable achievements, adding that the party must not be allowed to lose momentum at a critical time.
Mohammed also expressed appreciation to party stakeholders across the country for their continued and unwavering support, describing the period as a defining moment in the life of the PDP.
He said: “Your Excellences, you are aware of the declaratory judgment by the lbadan High Court in our favour.
“The law is simple and unambiguous and we shall continue to pursue justice for our great party.
“Any moment from now, we shall roll out our timetable for activities that have to do with outstanding Congresses in some states that will usher in seamless National Convention.
“The Peoples Democratic Party remains the only party that is build and centered on people with structures, national coherence, and verifiable legacies. We cannot afford for this party to sleep in our hands.”
