Brazilian international, Lucas Paqeuta has suggested why he opted to join Flamengo over Chelsea.
Paqeuta recently joined Flamengo from West Ham United despite interest from Chelsea and Tottenham.
The 28-year-old spoke in a video posted by Flamengo after he joined the Brazilian club.
Paqeuta said, “Tottenham called, then Chelsea called, and the funny thing is that Tatá [Paqeut’s agent] called all excited and said: ‘Chelsea’s calling, they are gonna make an offer.’ I replied: ‘Okay, but what about Flamengo?’
“He said: ‘Are you serious?’ I said: ‘Yeah, I don’t care about that. I want to hear about Flamengo,’ and that is how it all turned out.”
