Kano Pillars forward and General Manager, Ahmed Musa, has sent a message of hope to the club’s fanbase as they continue their fight to escape relegation in the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Musa scored the decisive goal as Kano Pillars boosted their survival hopes with a 1–0 win over Northwest rivals Katsina United on Wednesday.
It was the former Super Eagles captain’s third goal of the season in 14 appearances, and it proved enough to secure the club’s eighth win of the campaign after 23 matches.
Pillars have now won three of their last five games, but they remain rooted in 18th place on the NPFL table — a position Musa believes they can still improve.
“It was a tough game, but we got the three points at the end of 90 minutes,” Musa told the club’s media team after the match.
“We have to keep fighting, and in every game we will go all out to get the points. At the end of the season, we will see where we are. By the grace of Allah, we will be out of this situation.”
“The power behind Kano Pillars is the fans, and we are going to do our best to win and get out of relegation. The best gift we can give them is to keep winning.”
Aside from their struggles on the pitch, the former NPFL champions have also endured off-field setbacks, suffering a three-point and three-goal deduction following crowd disturbances during their clash with Shooting Stars Sports Club in October 2025.
The sanctions also saw Pillars banished to Katsina by the league board, forcing them to play five home matches away from Kano. They have only recently returned to their home ground, the Sani Abacha Stadium.
