Chelsea Football Club has reacted to the death of their former player and manager Eddie McCreadie.
McCreadie passed away on Tuesday at the age of 85.
Chelsea described the former left-back as a great figure in the club’s history and also a leader.
During his playing days, McCreadie also played for clubs like Memphis Rogues and East Stirlingshire F.C.
He also represented the Scotland national team from 1965 to 1969.
“All at Chelsea Football Club send our deepest condolences to Eddie’s wife Linda and his other family and his friends,” Chelsea’s statement partly read.
This is coming ahead of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup semi-final tie with Arsenal on Wednesday night.
