The National Vice Chairman, APC (South East), Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, says the current administration of President Bola Tinubu has made the lives of Igbos better.
Speaking during an interview on Arise Television on Monday, Arodiogbu stated that the Tinubu’s administration has provided them an enabling environment in the sense of commerce and manufacturing.
He was reacting to the stakeholders’ meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, held in Enugu aimed at supporting Tinubu’s re-election come 2027.
“Igbos are hard-working people. We’ve assessed the welfare of our people. Like I said, it’s a cultural thing for us to assess the family. How far has the family fared?
“And we’ve assessed it, and we have seen that our lot is better in so many areas the Tinubu’s administration
“My people are business people. My people are hard-working people. My people are smart people; they need an enabling environment which this administration has provided in the sense of commerce and manufacturing, where we are mostly known.
“I have a friend that manufactures pharmaceutical products and he was telling me that the type of encouragement he has received from this administration he didn’t know that would be possible.
“And someone else that is in agriculture told me the same thing that the type of encouragement that they are getting in the area of agriculture, they have not seen it before.
“We all went home this Christmas. The former incident that was promoted by those people that are trying to de-market our party did not happen this year. There was security. People went home, people moved around and that is what our people want.
“It is very instructive to note that the meeting we held was not just called for leaders of APC. It was a consultation with all the leading traditional rulers, with all the leading trade unions,” he said.
