The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has redeployed the Fagge Divisional Officer following a tragic incident in which a volunteer died at the divisional office.
This was contained in a statement signed by SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, the Kano spokesman of the corps.
The State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, approved the removal of SC Amina Musa Kolawale, with CSC Bashir Isa Abubakar now taking over as the new divisional officer.
The statement added that all officers and men on duty on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, including the former divisional officer, have been transferred to the Nigerian Police, Kano State Command, for further investigation and necessary action.
The NSCDC appealed to the public to remain calm and emphasised its commitment to the sanctity of life, human rights, professionalism, integrity, adherence to standard operational procedures, and the rule of law.
“While the Corps continues to appeal for calm and peaceful coexistence, the NSCDC further wishes to reassure the general public of continuous respect to the sanctity of life, human rights as well as upholding professionalism, standard operational procedure, integrity and rule of law,” the statement said.
