Defending champions Côte d’Ivoire have completed the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 quarter-final line-up after a dominant 3-0 victory over Burkina Faso on Tuesday night in Marrakesh.
Goals from Amad Diallo (20’), Yan Diomandé (32’) and a late strike by Bamba Touré (87’) powered the Elephants past the Stallions, as the Ivorians delivered a composed and clinical performance to underline their title credentials.
Diallo starred once again for Côte d’Ivoire, opening the scoring before providing the assist for Diomandé’s second, as the champions took firm control before half-time.

Burkina Faso pushed harder after the break but were unable to break down a disciplined Ivorian defence, with any hopes of a comeback ended by Touré’s late finish.
Côte d’Ivoire will now face Egypt in a highly anticipated quarter-final clash on Saturday in Agadir, as they continue their bid for back-to-back AFCON titles.
Teams qualified for AFCON 2025 quarter-finals:
Senegal
Mali
Morocco
Cameroon
Egypt
