Sporting Lagos head coach, Jeff Butter, said they are determined to keep the momentum going in the second stanza of the Nigeria National League, NNL.
The modest club finished the first stanza at the top of the Conference B table with 13 points from seven matches.
Sporting Lagos defeated Ekiti United 2-1 in their final match of the first stanza last weekend.
Butter expressed satisfaction with the overall performance of his team in the first stanza.
“I was happy with the boys’ performance after our last game of the year against Ekiti United,” Butter told Sporting Lagos media.
“The goal is to finish the year on top and stay close to the promotion place.”
Sporting Lagos will be up against Godswill Akpabio FC in Uyo when the second stanza commence next year.
