Former presidential candidate, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has called on the Kano State Commissioner of Police to immediately withdraw security officers stationed at the Nasarawa palace of the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero.
Kwankwaso made the call while speaking as the chief guest at the launch of the community security guards set up by the Kano State Government.
According to him, Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II is the only legitimate Emir of Kano.
He also criticised those he accused of keeping Emir Aminu Ado Bayero at the Nasarawa palace, describing the location as a “cemetery.”
The Kano emirship tussle has been on since the beginning of Abba Kabir Yusuf tenure after the then Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero was removed, and Muhammadu Sanusi II was reinstalled.
