Former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin, Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, a former first lady in Oyo State, Mrs Florence Ajimobi and other notable chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have vowed to deliver the state for President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
The APC chieftains who spoke on Monday, noted that they have resolved to put internal wranglings aside and work for the re-election of the President.
They made the declarations in Oyo town during the flag-off of the tour of a tour of 14 federal constituencies in the state.
The event was also attended by the Oyo State Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Olayide Abass, Senator Yunus Akintunde, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, Engineer Idris Adeoye, Senator Femi Lanlehin and Senator Ayo Adeseun.
Folarin while addressing the gathering noted that all leaders of the party in the state have resolved to put their personal ambitions aside and work for Tinubu in 2027.
He added that the leaders of the party must prioritize unity over personal ambitions.
Folarin equally noted that the mission of the party is to increase the number of votes in the state for Tinubu in 2027.
“Every leader with 2027 ambitions has set them aside. We must prioritise unity, rebuild internal trust, and deliver a landslide mandate for President Tinubu.
“In 2023, President Tinubu secured 449,884 votes in Oyo State – one of the strongest margins nationwide. Our mission now is to increase that figure by at least 35% through intensified grassroots mobilisation across all 33 local government areas,” he said.
Ajimobi described the move as a unifying platform that reflects the strength and discipline in the party.
She used the opportunity to appeal to the leaders to close ranks and prioritise peace in the APC.
