The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has announced an increase in prize money for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
President of the Confederation of African Football, CAF, Patrice Motsepe announced during his interaction with the media in Rabat, Morocco on Saturday that the winner of the competition will go home with $10m.
DAILY POST recalls that the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire, who won the last edition of the competition went home with $7m.
Runners-up Super Eagles Nigeria were rewarded with $4m.
The AFCON 2025 finals will start in Morocco on Sunday.
Hosts Morocco will take on Comoros in the competition’s opening game.
