The police command in Delta State has announced a ban on the sale and use of all forms of fireworks and pyrotechnics in the state, effective before, during, and after the Yuletide.
The command’s spokesman, Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement issued in Asaba and made available to reporters on Thursday.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the ban came on the heels of the seizure of different kinds of fireworks, worth millions of naira by the command.
