Yobe State Hisbah Commission said its operatives have confiscated 51 cartons of alcohol and 18 jerrycans of methylene chloride chemical (known as Madarar Sukurdai) across the state.
The Commission’s Chairman, Dr. Yahuza Hamza Abubakar, who disclosed this, also said the Islamic religion and the law establishing the commission in 2024 prohibit the sale and consumption of liquor and other intoxicants in the state.
