A massive fire broke out on Tuesday, engulfing two petrol-laden tankers at an MRS filling station along Numan Road, opposite the Jezco filling station near Yola International Airport.
The incident caused panic as residents rushed to the scene to witness the blaze, ignoring the obvious dangers. The road leading into Yola, the Adamawa State capital, was blocked due to the crowd.
